Truly practicing loving-kindness towards oneself has nothing to do with narcissism. It’s not an ego thing. It’s about knowing, without a doubt, that you are worthy of being alive, of being happy and of being at ease with who you are.
This is true for everyone, whether you know it or not
I want you to practice loving yourself today. I mean really loving yourself. Put a stop to the usual soundtrack of put downs and name calling (you know what I’m talking about).
Take a moment to sit quietly and call to mind all of your good qualities. You have so many! You are bright, intelligent, kind, generous, loving, patient. The list goes on and on.
Feel good about having these qualities. Know that even if you haven’t perfected them you can still share what good you have with everyone you know.
Now let that good feeling radiate through you. Give yourself over to it and know that your life is worth living!
